Great question! Coworking is a fast-growing global movement, changing and redefining where and how people work. Coworking spaces provide not only a physical space and address from which to do business and access business services; they also provide a professional social network for collaboration, sharing ideas and working together.

Thinktank offers downtown chic with uptown convenience in Midtown Toronto - North York, Ontario. We are located within two minutes of the DVP & Lawrence at 68 Railside Road, Suite F. See a map of our location.

Are coworking offices better than working from home? What are the benefits of coworking offices?

Coworking has countless advantages! First and foremost, it provides a physical space where you can do your work, but without the multi-year lease commitment of traditional office spaces or the distractions of home or coffee shops. Because members share costs, space rental in a coworking office is also much more affordable than traditional office spaces.

Coworking connects professional peers across different industries. Freelancers, entrepreneurs, and all other types of professionals work in close proximity, immediately joining them in a network and offering the chance to productively work together and collaborate.

What are Thinktank’s membership options? How much does working at Thinktank cost?

Thinktank offers several membership types to help your business thrive. To find out which package and benefits are most suited to your needs, visit our services.

How does Thinktank ensure I’ll be safe, comfortable and productive in your space?

Member safety and comfort are our biggest priorities. Our space is monitored with a state of the art security system, including live monitored and continuously taping cameras. On the tech side, our internet and print network uses advanced security to ensure any data on laptops connected to our Wi-Fi or printed through our network will remain safe and protected. All members are also required to go through an extensive onboarding application to ensure a good fit for each individual joining the community.

Is taking work phone calls an issue at Thinktank?

Not at all! We encourage members to take business phone calls and collaborate with each other. We simply ask that any conversations be kept to a reasonable indoor level, respectful of other members working in our space.

How can I check out Thinktank’s office?

What’s nearby? Can I do my dry cleaning, grab lunch, or run errands?

Thinktank is located a very short drive from the well known Shops at Don Mills, which features grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and excellent shopping. There are also plenty of great restaurants and stores in our area.

Can I bring my kids or pets?

While Thinktank loves both children and pets, neither can be counted on to be reliably professional at all times in an office environment and are therefore not allowed.

Does Thinktank provide parking?

Yes. We are located in a one-story complex with lots of free parking. Additional parking is also available on nearby streets. All private dedicated offices will be provided with a complimentary reserved parking spot.

Do you have secured network connection?

Yes, we have a secure wireless network. However, for additional security you are able to connect directly into a secure Ethernet port, which will ensure your computer is not found on the network.

How do I access your site? How do I enter the building?

All members will be oriented and trained on how to enter and exit the building. We don’t use keys at Thinktank, as they’re one more item to manage and possibly lose! We use a code system, which is used for access and security.

How are my membership hours monitored?

All members are provided an access code, and you must swipe in and out. Monthly reporting will be provided.
